Our Name

Our 3 Core Values

What does the name ‘360church’ mean?

We know you were thinking it already! Well, allow us to explain.

Each number tells a certain story about us, which looks like this:

3 commitments,

the other 6 days of the week,

with 0 regrets

3” stands for our 3 commitments

Our Creator

God is present with us and available to us in Jesus. Historically, God is revealed in the Bible. Presently, God meets us in the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit. In the future, God will be revealed in the return of Jesus. As Father, Son and Holy Spirit, our Creator God loves people everywhere and sent Jesus to make it possible for us to experience that love through forgiveness, reconciliation, and eternal life. We believe that people today can have the same kinds of real-time encounters with God as depicted in the Bible through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to loving God and demonstrating God’s love to the world. This commitment leads us to worship God, to learn God’s word, and to love people.

Something we desire to live out is genuine faith.

Creative People

We love and respect the people who shape the future, and we are in Berkeley to offer a place where they can consider the potential of a life lived in connection with their Creator through Jesus. We love this city, its campus, and its people. A friend of ours says, “There is no synonym for Berkeley,” and we couldn’t agree more. God is the source of all the gifts within creative people. Faith in Jesus means worshipping and serving our Creator God rather than our own creative powers. This profound change offers creatives the opportunity to work out God’s agenda for making the world a much better place, and offers the hope of an even better place after this.

We constantly want to explore new avenues of creativity.

Connections

Faith, Hope, and Love are the adhesives of life. Faith in Jesus connects us to God, hope sustains people in a common mission of service to others, and love bonds our hearts together in acceptance and unity. 360church is an environment where all three kinds of bonds can grow in our lives and in our city. We see these connections as developed in relationship with one another, so we’re always looking for ways to be better friends and to grow together in friendship with Jesus.

We believe one of the places we can make these connections is here at 360church.

6” represents the other 6 days of the week

Our focus is about serving God in our community when it’s not Sunday.

Sunday meetings can be “black hole” for a church instead of a launching pad for life, consuming so much time and energy that little else happens. Because of this, we want to be engaged in our community and campus, serving its citizens and students Monday through Saturday. Similarly, we want to serve the world by bringing the good news about Jesus and by helping meet pressing material needs as well.

0” represents 0 regrets

A life lived without regrets is a treasure. Reconciliation with our Creator through faith in Jesus allows us to walk in forgiveness and healing, making it possible to live with purpose and calling.

360church is committed to serving Berkeley without regrets, and to helping creatives find this same kind of life.
