I was recently blessed to meet Noor, a girl who came to know the Lord in one of the most spectacular ways. I met her via Skype through a cousin who attends the same university as her in the Middle East. She was born and grew up in Nigeria, although she’s ethnically French, Greek, and Middle Eastern. I asked her to write, in her own words, a quick summary of her breath-taking, jaw-dropping testimony:
“I grew up in a Muslim home, where life is a game; God created us and watches as we make mistakes, judging whether we are “good enough” to win heaven. I told God that if He is real, He should prove it. Little did I know about what plan He had.
“That night, I had a dream, a dream that rocked my whole world and still does. In the dream, I locked myself in a closet to hide from what was outside of it which was known as “the world.” This so called “world” was dark, people were blinded and kept hurting one another with the weapons they had. Scared, I asked God for help. Within seconds, someone opened the door of the closest, a charming prince who blinded me with His light. He gave me His hand and asked me to follow Him. As He held my hand tightly, He walked me through a path in the dark world. Through this mighty One, I saw everything because of His light; however, no one else could see Him. Suddenly, “the world” decided to attack me with all the weapons they had, though they couldn’t. I appeared to have some bulletproof glass that prevented them from touching me. Looking at the prince, His light began to dim and every hit that I was supposed to get, He took.
“I began to cry, but He looked straight at me, barely making it through and said “this is what I have come here for, I’ve come here for you, I’m Jesus. Everything is going to be okay!” As soon as He said those words within seconds “the world” vanished and His eyes looked at me with the greatest love and said “This is where you belong, you belong with me.” As I looked ahead I saw the kingdom of heaven. I woke up in depression considering I didn’t know if Jesus was real. I then proceeded to ask my parents and they told me that Christians believe He is God, but we (they) believe he is a prophet. I knew the Christian God was truth; I had never seen nor heard anything as this God who loves drastically. As Jesus went up that cross, He went up in passion for your heart, let His death be worth it in your life.”
God is good.
